how to set activity type for a cost center

i was practicing the split valuation topic and for the that i was making a routing for a product so that i can have that product for inhouse production.

while using ca01(to create routing), i am facing a problem with the activity type.

when i am setting up the operation i am getting an error " activity type # is not set up for cost center 10004220 in year 2007"

can you please tell me how should i come out of it.

    Hi,

    In the work center costing tab page you have to link the activity type

    to cost center and the valid from date.The activity type and standard

    values are linked via formula.

    Create activity type with tcode kl01

    For activity price allocation in kp26

    create cost center in ks01

      respected sir i still could not do it, whn i used cr02 i found out that activity type is already is there and validity period is also coreect (year 1999 to year 9999).thn i tried kp26 (which was new for me but i managed to give it a try),but i could not make it.

      i am sorry for givin you people hard time
