Picking Problem ?

Hi,

I have a reqt. that while creating delivery system should allow me to pick the entire batch quantity not partial batch quantity, for example , if the sale order is made for 5 tonnes and there are two batches available of 3 (A) and 4 tonnes (B)each. Current system allows 3 tonnes batch from A and 2 tonnes from B. And 2 Tonnes will be the leftoever in B. But I want that system should not allow partial picking, if 3 + 2 Batch is not there then a message should pop up to increase the SO qty.

Urgent help appreciated , points will be awarded.

Hi Binayak,

This can be achieved by a creating a routine to fetch complete quantity for the batch determined in delivery and attach this routine in strategy type Quantity proposal.

Logistics General>Batch Management>Batch Determination & Batch Check-->Define Sales and Distribution strategy types.

If you go inside the strategy type you can see a field called as Quantity Proposal. The new routine needs to be mentioned here and also in Strategy type condition record VCH1.

I tried Vk13 but couldnt get it.

hi,

we create the Batch Determination Record using VCH1. You find that in

Easy access > Logistics > Log. Exec > Master Data > Material > Batch search strategy > Delivery > Create ...

From the main menu Goto Logistics>Central Functions>Batch Management>Batch Determination>Batch Search Strategy>For Sales and Distribution>VCH1 Create.
