sub-field access in type p

Is it possible to get a part of the data type P.

How can I achieve that?

The data has the following format: 20.061.205.070.406.

I want to get the latest four digits(here: 0406) but how?

Thanks in advance.

Deniz.

    ok pass this value to char .

    .

    eg

    data: w_packed type P decimals 2,

    w_temp(100), w_char(100).

    w_temp = w_packed.

    w_char = w_temp+5(4).

    hmmm quite easy.

    move your value to a char variable.

    then get the last 4 digits with string commands.

    Example:

    data: number type p length 12 decimals 2,

    char type char20,

    lv_len type i,

    return type char10..

    write number to char left-justified.

    i = strlen(char) - 4.

    return = char(4)+i.
