WAIT step in workflow

Hi,

My requirement is to make the workflow wait for 5 minutes.

To get this done, I created a container operation, got the system time in a variable(x) and added 5 min with a variable. Then I created 'wait' step and gave condition as 'sy-uzeit GT x'.

1. x = sy-uzeit + 00:02:00

2. sy-datum GT x.

But it keeps waiting. Its not going further.

Can anyone help me out on this issue.

Thanks.

jey

    Hi,

Not sure about this problem. But when i had a similar requirement i used a background method as a wait step. The background step will have the command WAIT UP TO 300 SECONDS. If you are unable to resolve the issue try this way to create a delay.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jey,

the report RSWWERRE continues such waiting workitem (if this is this procedure as I was thinking of). Usually that one runs every 20 minutes.

    Best regards,

    Florin

P.S.: Please check, if the waiting could be solved using a terminating event, e.g. when you wait for changes written to the database.
