Net price set to zero in inforecord

Former Member

Hi,

I am looking for a way to get visible either last valid price or next valid price in purchasing inforecord net price field.

Indeed, in the 2 following cases, net price is set to zero whereas condition type are defined :

Case 1 : last condition type valid until 30.10.2006, new one as of 01.06.2007

Case 2 : new previous contion type, new one created valid as of 01.06.2007

Any flag to activate somewhere ? Any idea ?

Thanks for help,

Virginie

Hi,

I am not sure that I fully understand your requirement?

To see the last price paid is easy enough, it is on the info record. But you say that you want to see it in the Net price, on the info record?

This is not possible, the last price paid is ONLY stored for historical data purposes or to suggest on the next PO if no net price has been maintained.

If you want to get the system to default the last price paid into the PO net price filed, you need to use the EVO parameter. (SPRO - MM> Purchasing > Environment data > Define default values for buyers.

Choose an entry that has the correct flags (there is a price adoption tab that has the field you are looking for). If no entry has the right flags then create one.

Then allocate the selected entry to the user record parameters (EVO). Be careful, the system is case sensitive for these parameters so it is best to use numbers for the key instead of alpha characters.

That should cause the last price paid to be proposed in the next PO.

But this may not be what you are asking for, let me know.

Thanks for the answer Steve, but this is not what I am looking for.

Sorry if not well explained.

Indeed, if I create an info record on 29.05 with price condition valid only as of 01.06, the price condition is well stored in condition field but net price in inforecord is set to zero.

I would like to be displayed as mentionned in the help "if all validity periods lie beyond the current date, the price of next period is displayed and the date field then contains the end date of this period"

Any idea why I have zero ?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for explaining it further and there is no need to apologise, it is not always easy to sum up your problem in a short text and at least you tried to explain it (unlike some people who don't even try to give us something to go on).

the system is correct because the net price filed always contains the price that is current. Your price is not valid until 1st June and so at the moment the price is not current.

Don't worry though, this does not mean that SAP will suggest a price of ZERO, it will not find a price that is valid today and so the system will treat this as if the item does not yet have an info record.

I don't think that anything is wrong and you should not have any problems, but do let us know if you think that this is causing a problem (remember that if there is no valid info record the system will leave the price at 0, it is not suggesting a price of zero from the record that has not yet started)

I hope I have understood this time?

Thanks for feedback.

I agree with you, when creating the PO at key date, the system retrieves the correct price.

However, I wonder why the net price shown in inforecord is set to zero whereas it seems that a price (last valid or next valid at least) should be displayed as mentionned in dependencies explained in the Help.

Dependencies

If there is no price that is valid on the current date, the last-valid

price is displayed and the date field contains the day before the start

of the next validity period (this may be 12.31.9999 if there is no

further validity date). If all validity periods lie beyond the current

date, the price of the next period is displayed. The date field then

contains the end date of this period.

Hi, where did you see the information that prices of future periods are listed

in the field EINE-NETPR? As far as I know it is like you were already told.

I work in the environment 4.71 and it works like you described - I set up a price

which starts with 1st of July 2007 and EINE-NETPR is not dated up but if

I watch ME12 I get the information that the price 0,00 is valid to 30th of June 2007.

Therefore there has to be something else....

My experience is the same when you work e.g. with delivery schedules combined with info-records, as soon as you work with conditions within the delivery schedules no price is dated up in the info-record. If you try then to work e.g.

with long-term planning in order to get information about prices and quantities for

say the next 5 years you have to run a special report which moves these prices

into EINE-NETPR....

The only "standard-way" I found out in order to get information which material

to which supplier and dependable on the date is transaction "ME1E" ==>

just search for the material-number - the report is not very "hot" but nevertheless

there is one. I could not find out more information - the rest has to be done over programming or query but then you have to refer to the condition-tables...
