Hi All,
I am working for a client where they want to create Global Hierarchy and Local Hierarchy(Regional). We are exploring the same in MDG on S4 HANA. But as in MDG, there is BP Hierarchy unlike Customer Hierarchy in ECC(which is their legacy system), is there any video or material I can refer to understand the BP Hierarchy creation (like what do we mean by Business Partner, Hierarchy, lower level hierarchy in the drop down when creating a Customer CR in MDG and "Hierarchy Processing" ie assigning Hierarchy for the BP = ERP Customer and Vendor).
Regards,
Su
Hi Subhashini , Ingo and Kiran ,
We are in similar scenario with greenfield implementation of SAP MDG 9.0 on S4 1610 . Can you please advise what solutions did you look at for maintaining or governing Customer Hierarchy (VDH1N in ECC today) via MDG ? I understand there is no MDG production version yet which support VDH1N ?
Thanks,
Binoy

Hi Bruss,
Client doesnt have a S-User for me to access the SAP OSS note you mentioned, if possible can you please attach in the comments please.
Also, as MDG only supports BP heirarchy and not the Customer Heirarchy, what would be the best way to customize the Customer heirarchy in MDG. Can we do that?
Any help at the earliest would be great.
Regards,
Subhashini

In MDG, you can create hierarchy for BP only. There is no document as such but you can go through -
Assignment of Business Partners to Hierarchies from Single-Object Processing UI
You can now assign Business Partners to hierarchies during the creation or change process. The UI also offers a value help for an easy identification of the relevant parent node.

Hi, there is an S/4 simplification item (note 2409939 "Business Partner Hierarchy Not Available").
Reason was functional overlap with the customer hierarchy, I believe.
