hi experts,
i need to know from where table /bic/pzmaterial gets filled.
i think its a master table but no clue on how is it updated??
thanks in advance
Bijal
when you create a characterisitic you create a lot of associated tables
for eg creating a character CH1 will create the following tables
/BIC/MCH1 View of Master Data Tables: Characteristic
/BIC/PCH1 Master Data (Time-Ind.): Characteristic CH1
/BIC/RCH1 View SIDs and Char. Values: Characteristic
/BIC/SCH1 Master Data IDs: InfoObject CH1
/BIC/TCH1 Texts: Char. CH1
The table with /BIC/P* will mean tables that contain data related to CH1 and contains version and change flag
(so in your case CH1 will be ZMATERIAL)
the characterisitic is the key and depending on the application will look into these associated tables
So if you are doing anything related to deletion it will look or edit this table...
any reason why you are looking for this?

Hi Bijal,
you are right, it is a master data table for the info object zmaterial. As for the update :
transaction RSA1 - Info Objects - there search for the object zmaterial - go into the context menu of that object and chose "show data flow".

Hi,
sorry again, we already use SCM 5.0, and thats a new feature. In 4.1 :
go into the description of the zmaterial (change info object) - create the "where used list". Then mark the InfoCube you want to analyse with right mouse and choose "Display description" and further on "network display of the data flow".
Best Regards,
Ernst
