Is it possible to convert reports based on free hand sql from BO 3.1 to 4.1/4.2 ?

I want to know is it possible to convert desktop intelligence reports based on free hand sql in BO 3.1 to BO 4.1 / 4.2 ?

If possible what tool should i use for conversion ? Is there any limitation regarding free hand sql report conversion ? Can we refresh the converted document after conversion ?

Check this blog for conversion issues. We have thousands of Deski reports based of FHSQL, we are seeing lot of issues with the conversion tool. We may need to touch most of the reports after the conversion.

Yes, the Report Conversion Tool will handle DeskI reports with Freehand SQL. There is a checkbox on the report selection dialog to include FHSQL reports.

Prior to BI4.1 SP05, the RCT would create a new universe for FHSQL queries, add the SQL as a derived table, and then associate the newly-created WebI report with that universe. As of SP05 (I forget which patch exactly), the RCT will create FHSQL queries in the generated WebI report.

It's pretty good, but not perfect. I had problems with FHSQL queries that contained ambiguous column names, and some that had linefeed characters in @prompt() functions.
