ECC unable to connect HANA DB post HANA server nrename

Hallo,

Recently we have migrated BI HANA database to a new host. But after migration ECC is not getting started since it is unable to find the database. We have maintained hosts file and also maintained profile parameters, environment variables. Result of trans.log shows that it is still pointing to the old host. How can I correct the error? Pl help...

The ping is running successfully! What are you doing?

Hello,

please validate if the database hostname is known from SAP Instance. The easiest way is to use ping:

ping invicthana004.dtinet.net

If the test is unsuccessful, please either contact your networking team or just manually add required entries to /etc/hosts
