STOPSAP Command stuck at "connecting bd6 database"

Dear experts,

I was not able to connect SAP through GUI. it was showing connecting popup.

when i am trying to stop sap application through STOPSAP <hostname>. It was getting stuck at "connecting bd6 database".

And after taking restart at OS level system working fine.

but issue occurred frequently.

System Details :

SAP NETWEAVER : EHP2 for NETWEAVER 7.0

DB Details:

Database : Db2

version : 9.7 fp3

OS : AIX 6.1

Check the db2diag.log for errors, also you can do a stopsap r3 and then stop the database manually.

You can also check/update your kernel as there is db2 specific files.

If you are unable to connect to the SAP instance then check the work process trace files to identify where the problem is. If the problem is as the database level then you should fix it. Without the error logs there is nothing much we can assist you here.

DB2 V9.7 FP3 is very old. It will be difficult to find out if such problems have been fixed in recent version of DB2 9.7 .

could you please post the work process trace for dev_wp0 with the timelsot round about the error occured.
