Mandatory fields

Dear SD Gurus,

Using OVA2 one can achieve a warning message for incompleteness of a particular field in the Sales order.

My question is how to make a particular field in Sales order header or item level a mandatory field? What is the T code or menu path.

please advise.

    hai,

    use t: code SHDO, to control sales documennt config,give the transaction code there and u can go into the customising of that.

    Hi adiraj das,

    it depends on what type or sales order u are planning for ...this can be done in configurations part .. u have 4 options to do -> suppress, required entry ,optional entry ..display options

    Go to Tcode SHD0 and enter Transaction Variant BUS2032 for sales order. leave Tcode field empty. You can make one field mandatory, optional etc

    Hi,

    you can do this by Log of Incompleteness.

    IMG->SALES N DISTRIBUTION->BASIC FUNCTIONS->INCOMPLETENESS->LOG OF INCOMPLETENESS.

    here u can assign the field for incompleteness.

    HI.,

    Transaction variants are created with transaction: SHD0In the field Transaction on SHD0 enter the transactioncode for the screen you want tpo modify (E.g. VA01)In the field Variant on SHD0 enter the name you want to give the transaction variant (E.g. YVA01)Press CreateNow the screen for the transaction is shown and you can enter default values in the fields of the screenPress Enter. Now a screen that enbles you to make further customizing (Hide, Output only, Invisible, Mandatory) if the screen fields is shown.After you have finished customizing the screen press Enter to go to the next screen or ave and exit to save the Transaction variant. Finally you assigned to sales document type through VoV8.

    Hi Adiraj Das ,

    for your requirement use incompletion log procedure and enter the table and fields

    and set as warning message :

    follow like this :

    Incompletion procedure contains all the required fields, which are mandatory in sales document.

    SPRO

    Sales and distribution

    Basic functions

    Log off incomplete items

    Define incompleteness procedures.

    We need to define the incompletion procedure for the following incompletion groups

    A Sales header

    B Sales item

    C Sales schedule line

    D Partner

    F Sales activity

    G Delivery header

    H Delivery item

    Select the incompletion group and go to procedures

    Go to new entries and define the procedure.

    Note: - We need to define separate procedures for each and every sales document, unless all the documents have common mandatory fields.

    Select the defined procedures and go to fields. Go to new entries, and place the required fields, which are mandatory in the sales document.

    Field: - F1 incomplete procedure select

    1) Table: - Specifies the table in which the field exists.

    2) Field name: - Specifies the Field name in the table

    3) Description: - description of the field

    4) Screen: - The function code displays the screen on which we can enter the incomplete data.

    5) Status Group: - Specify the corresponding status group

    6) Warning: - If we check this field the system gives 9 warning when the user does not make an entry in the required field.

    7) Sequence: - Determines the sequence in which the system checks for the incomplete fields.

    Assign incompletion procedures: -

    Same path

    Defining status group: -

    Same path

    Define status groups: -

    Status group controls, which sub sequent documents, can be blocked for processing, if the data in the mandatory field is missing.

    And go to new entries and define the status group.

    1) Status group

    2) General

    3) Delivery

    4) Billing document

    5) Price

    6) Goods moment

    7) Picking

    8) Pack

    Ex: - Here if we check delivery we cannot create the delivery document if the data in the mandatory field is missing to which this status group is assigned.

    Note: u have to check incompletion indicator in sales document type (OR)
