Creating portal dektop in EP 7

Hi All,

I am trying to add newly created portal dektop to user but i am not able to see the changes .I followed this link <a href="http://https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e549a890-0201-0010-3f8b-d3b852457ebd">create Portal</a> .

Please let me know where i am going wrong.

Hi Pankaj,

Thanks for the links but ...the links you gave is for WebDynpro app ..i am facing problem in creating portal desktop where i am copying the default frame work and creating the desktop.after adding the expression to the main rule under super admin i am not able to see any changes. I hope i am clear.

Hi Santhosh,

Ensure the user/group is correct with spelling. and then assign expression again to user/group.

If it is Netweaver 7.0 and working witn Consumer portal, also ensure the permissions are assigned to the Consumer portal.

Hi Santosh,

Just check the user id properly to which you are assigning the rule to .Delete your browser cache also.

Hi Pankaj,

I have deleted the cache and checked the user id but still it is not coming.

when i use user=santosh

THEN Portal Desktop = pcd:portal_content/San_ID.Santosh_ID/Santosh_D

it is not changing the desktop but when i use

Rule Collection

IF Group = EP_Group

THEN Portal Desktop = pcd:portal_content/San_ID.Santosh_ID/Santosh_D

IF User = *

THEN Portal Desktop = pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop portal dektop changes.

Please let me know if you have any idea.

Maybe you can try to use :

IF user=<b>the ID of santosh</b>

THEN Portal Desktop = pcd:portal_content/San_ID.Santosh_ID/Santosh_D

Hi,

Ensure that particular user is assigned to group.

Since it is EP7.0 , Ensure permisssions on Producer and Consumer portals for particular principals.
