Wrong batch classification by plant

Hi all,

We have a problem using batch classification for different plant. I need to manage different batch classification for different plant for the same material.

In my scenario we have same material for different plant and a specific Batch Classification for plant. When we create a new batch for one plant SAP propose the classification for a different plant because select the first batch class in the INOB table without a check by plant and we are not allowed to chage it.

I.E.

Material AAA used in plant P001 amd P002. Batch Class (type 022): P001_CLASS and P002_CLASS.

In case exist a batch for material AAA in plant P002 when we create a new batch for material AAA in plant P001 SAP set the class P002_CLASS and this proposal it's not editable.

How can manage it? In my expectation SAP have to propose us the classification in base of the plant.

Thanks and regards, LR

Thanks Sam,

In our scenario we have no material classification but we assign the classification only at batch level. In this way our expectation are that when we create a new batch the classification it's not proposed but empty and editable.

For us it enough that in MSC1N or MSC2N SAP don't propose us a classification for the new batch but leave the field empty. Now when we create a new batch SAP propose us the classification used in another plant. I don't know if it's possible manage this scenario.

Thanks,

LR

Hi Luca,

Material and all batches have to use the same class for classification in class type 022. Note 115581 explains this standard logic.
