Proposal Run - it will check the open item list details of the vendor , which are eligible for payments and gives you the list with exceptions in case not eligible for payment because of the payment block / missing data / no matching data / etc.
Payment Run - Once the proposal run is successful then only you can go for the payment run, after making necessary modifications after running and editing the proposal run...you can do the payment run...after payment run it will give the status of the documents posted and generated..that means once you do the payment run it will post the payment documents
