If there is no standard relationship to describe the link between objects that has dotted line relationship to one another, you first need to create (define) such a relationship via the IMG (Personnel Management>>Personnel Development>>Maintain subtypes) - remember to maintain the 'A' and 'B' relationship. You can then start assigning the objects to each other by creating the relationships via the proper transaction (PO13 if it is the relationship between a position to any other allowed object, PO10 if it is the relationship between an org unit to any other allowed object) Additional to just creating the relationship / defining it, you should also define via the IMG: between which objects is this new relationship you've created valid (or 'allowed' as SAP puts it) for ? You would for instance not allow a position to have a dotted line relationship to a job, but a typycal allowed relationship for position is to another position.
