hi guru,what is pdf file

subhasis.
Hi Subhasis,
Portable Document Format (PDF) is a file format created by Adobe Systems in 1993 for desktop publishing use. PDF is used for representing two-dimensional documents in a device independent and display resolution independent fixed-layout document format. Each PDF file encapsulates a complete description of a 2D document (and, with the advent of Acrobat 3D, embedded 3D documents) that includes the text, fonts, images, and 2D vector graphics that compose the document.
PDF is an open standard and is now being prepared for submission as an ISO standard.
As far as relation with SAP is concerned, there are certain cases where we might need to convert SAP Script/Smartform output to PDF. Check out the following link for some useful info.

Hi Subhasis,
PDF is a software just like Microsoft office.
PDF is used in most of the scenarios where you don't want anyone else to change the contents which are there.
It is the more secured and powerful tool from ADOBE.
Reward points if useful.
