Hi rajesh,

BDC - Batch Data Communication.

Its a ABAP program written to enter bulk data into system. It can be bulk creation, change or even bulk deletion.

Many times it uses standard SAP provided function modules like BAPIs to do the bulk activity. Else, BDC can also be created by recording the transaction you do in SAP. Recording is done by tcode SHDB.

Eg. of BDC can be Mass deletion of PRs, Planned Orders etc. Mass change of Material Master or POs etc.

Hi,

BDC - Batch data Conversion ,

We use BDC to upload the Legacy data to SAP or to perform certain transactions in SAP. The input file with values we have provided for upload purpose.

Basically ABAP knowledge is required for BDC, Transaction can be recorded through "SHDB"
