"status" values for different "document type" while adding documents

Hi,

While adding documents in the "Proj. Documentation" tab, when we select the various document types, the possible values for "status" field changes. I would like to know where can I set the status for each document type. I would like to add my own status for few of the document types.

I am aware of creating new document type in "SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN" for the project under the "Project standards" tab.

It's all here, it just needs to be put together.

SP10 IMG path

1. Go to SAP Solution Manager > Scenario specific settings >Implementation > Optional activities > Document Management > Status for Documents > <b>Define Document Status Schemes</b>

2. Click New Entries and add a new schema

3. Highlight the new schemas and click on the Status Values folder

4. Add the new values

5. Go to Project Administation > Project Standards tab > Documentation Types Tab > Click Project Template button.

6. In the last column of each Document Type select the proper status schema that you created.

Hi,

You are right you also have a tab Status where you created new Documentation type. You just have to add your status there.

And for changing the status of your document. In project documentation tab in SOLAR01. you will have option to change the status in the corresponding document line item.

Thanks for your response.

The "status" tab is used for setting the status for the "Administration" tab in SOLAR01 transaction and not for the document type.

Also currently in SOLAR01 transaction, based on the "document type" selection, the "status" drop-down option changes. Hence wanted to know how do we configure the "status" for the document type.

U can configure document status in IMG.

Get into SPRO screen.

Path is:

SAP Solution ManagerScenario specific settingsImplementationOptional activities-Document Management--Status for documents.

Here u can set status values for your documest based on status schema.

Try this out
