Upgraded to Enterprise Portal 7.4, Beginner to UI Theme Designer and Implementation

Hello community,

We have recently upgraded our sandbox environment from enterprise portal version 7.0 to 7.4. To manage change management, we are starting with duplicating our look of the prior portal and then enhancing it as we gain more experience with the newer portal environment. I have the WD ABAP applications working fine, but I'm trying learn how to adjust the theme to add our company logo to the main portal entry point.

I can access the UI Theme Designer under Content Administration > Portal Display > Portal Themes > UI Theme Designer and made a custom copy of the sap_crystalblue. I simply want to start with customizing the masthead using our company logo and color palette and then adding the theme choice under Personalize menu. Can anyone point me to instructions on how to do it? I'm struggling on finding any instructions on how to customize and publish the new theme.

Hi Garrett,

You need to click on the Plus button under Target Pages, select Portal Control Previews and choose AJAX Framework Page. This will then supply the AFP resources to the UITD. For UR resources, likewise, you must select at least one of the UR controls and activate it (left side of the window) to set the UI Theme Designer.
