Hybris Marketing Cloud: CAL on AWS

Dear Experts,

I'm thinking about installing the hybris Marketing deployment option Cloud Application Library (CAL) on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

It seems like a nice trial version to do some scenarios like creating target groups and execute a campaign.

But am I right, that there is no possibility to enhance the solution for example with a connection to hybris commerce or cloud for customer? Because for my purpose this would be a prerequesite.

Is this deployment option an acceptable alternative for testing the hybris marketing cloud version with regard to the integration scenarios?

Hi Tobias,

In regards to the CAL + AWS deployment, the answer is yes, you can also integrate with commerce or cloud for customer, as you are the owner / administrator of the system.

BUT: The system deployed is a SAP Hybris Marketing onPrem system. So in regards to the second part of your question the answer is no, this is not an alternative for testing the SAP Hybris Marketing Cloud integration.

Hi Asmus,

I asked because in the FAQ document for the CAL the question 1.5 is "How does the scope of this appliance relate to the scope of SAP Hybris Marketing rapid-deployment solution?" and concerning the commerce solution the answer is "CER: Marketing Recommendation: Integration to commerce solution excluded".

This seemed to me that the possibilities of that solution are limited in relation to the commerce solution for example.

But if it is also an on-prem system it is really no alternative.
