Hi Guys,

Is it possible to remote logon from client 001 to other systems?

to be moer clear, I have a SCM system client 001 and create a RFC destination to R/3 say client 600. Will it be possible to remote logon from SM59 to R/3?

It is not happening for me. it is neither giving any error nor opening the logon screen. Or even logon. What am I missing?

Points guaranteed.

Hi Ragu,

It is possible to remote login from client 001 to other system clients.

While you configuring make sure that the user must be having S_RFC autorisation object.

In SM59 specify IP Adress insted of host name and check authontication test.

If it is sucess user id password is correct and make sure that you have given Dialog/service user in SM59 logon& security tab.

Thanks,

Suraj

Hello Raghu,

Raju seems to be closest to giving the best explanaation. Are you using a system or coommunication user. Remote login will happen with only dialog or service user.

one more thing you could check is the time zone difference between both the systems

Hi,

Onething I am sure is remote logon is possible from client 001 to any of the other clients. I have tested in my systems. Please try to reate new RFC destination with connection type 3 and give IP address as of the client 600 and system number of the client 600 and check for the connection.

Hi,

Yes test connection is happening. The username and password are blank only. The only thing that didn't happen is separate screen didn't open up.

Please help.

Hello Raghu,

Are you using a type 3 RFC destination? I mean for connecting to R/3 systems.

Hello Raguraman,

Check this sap note: 564612 for this. Run the trace as explained in the note, Check the logon data and the user. Ensure that the type 'Dialog' is used (SU01 - logon data).Check whether network components prevent logon or confirmation, for example, a router or a firewall.

Reward points if helpful,

Regards,

Raju.

Hi,

It is possible to remote logon from client 001 to the other systems.Go to SM59 and check the tab logon, if you have given the logon user as system user you will not be getting any logon screen. Keep the fields user and password as empty and try logging in to the client 600.
