We are using SAP Web IDE Multi cloud version and configured our gateway on premise systems as destination SCP cockpit. The destination are reachable using Principal Propagation and as well as basic authentication mechanisms.
When we use Principal propagation the user who is logging into Web IDE cloud, say, user1. User 1 is also present in gateway on premise system and the user1 is propagated using Prinicpal propagation to gateway system. But on backend system ECC, we have user2 who has required test data configured and would like to tets our fiori aplication in web ide with user2. User2 is not present in cloud platform and only user 1 is authorized there. How do we use Web IDE to test with user2 in case of principal propagation.
I was able to achieve above requirement using basic authentication where I configured user2 in cockpit and he is also present in gateway system. Since SAP documentation says that basic authentication is insecure we would like to go for PP. Please advise.
