Hi
While doing the customer clearing in AR , I got the error as "Number Range RF_Beleg has reached critical limit ". Can anybody suggest me how to fix this error.it looks some allocated number range has exhausted.
Thanks
SN
Identify the number range object & if possible extend the number range of that number range object. Alternatively create a new number range object & do the necessary configuration for assignment of the number range object at all relevant place & assign new number range to it.

Hi Sathya,
You may have to follow the following steps:
i) You may know the document type of the document that generates this error, say DZ, Pls goto OBA7 and note the Number Range defined for the same.
ii) Having noted the Number Range, goto FBN1. Click on the Change Status Button.
iii) Locate the Co Code, Fiscal Year and the Number Range (That u got from Step i). Select that line and change the current number to zero.
iv) Come back to the main screen of FBN1. Again click onto the Change Interval Button. Select the same record as in iii) and change the From & To Numbers. The defined numbers should not overlap with any other number range for any other document type.
v)Save it.
Try posting again.
Hope this helps.
Hi Gurus
I have gone to SNRO and put the object then clicked the number ranges and it took me to FBN1.I changed the number ranges and thought it fixed it.But today morning user complained that problem is still there. I have checked the FBN1 and did not find any number range near to upper limit. I did not get the answer well "document type " linked to number range e.g DZ. Another user is also complainng about same error.help help.
Hi Satya,
For this error, it should definitely pertain to one row out of all the rows you are telling. Please identify that row first. To identify that row, pls tell me when do you get this error? i.e you might be getting this error when trying to post one document right, Kindly give the document type. We can then easily spot this row.

Problem got fixed.I deleted one unused and reclaimed some.Still have some question.
let me give snapshot.
01 2006 0019000000 199999999
01 2007 0019000000 29999999
01 2008 0019000000 19999999 0
01 9999 0010000000 29999999
03 9999 0030000000 39999999
Can you please explain me the logic of using 01 multiple times. and then meaining of year 9999. The year 9999 has some current number. It means it is being used.
Thanks in advance
SN
Hi Sathya,
The second column in your snapshot represents the Fiscal Year. This fiscal year means that the number range is valid till the fiscal year reaches the year mentioned in this column.
Defining the number range can be done in many ways, One way is to define it every year, and the other way is to define it just once.
The first case of having more 01s is that for every year this number range is defined by the consultant. So they define 01 for 2006, 07 08 etc.
The second case is that the number range is defined just once. So it simply means that the number range is valid forever(Till Fiscal Year 9999), once defined. The system has thus started using this number range and will continue to do so till 9999.
Hi,
I got the same error and i followed the steps given here. But there are still few numbers left in my earlier number range. I gave a new number range and now when i try to post a document i am still getting the numbers from the old range.
EX: my old range is 0010000 to 0019999
my new range is 0300000 to 0399999
After i change the range too i am getting the document number as 00192345 instead of 0300000. Does this mean the left over numbers in the old range will be used and after they complete then only its going to use the new number range? I am confused.
Hi Satya,
I think once the limit of the number range is reached the system starts counting automatically from the beginning and there is the danger of duplicate numbers being allocated. You can create a new number range and you must assign number range to the grouping or the existing interval must be extended
Assign points if useful
