The system lets the level drop to zero in MD04 after normal MRP run (MRP type : PD & Lot size : EX) and then doesn’t suggest a replenishment for a longer time than what the lead time is set in material master MRP2 view for Raw material which is procured externally.

For example: Stock drops to zero on 3rd Oct, however a replenishment order is not generated until the 17th Oct….. lead time in SAP is 5 days.

Could you please advise, if any setting is missed out?

Hello

Which lead time are you referring to? MRP considers the goods receipt processing time, planned delivery and purchasing processing time when scheduling a material procured externally. In addition, the planned delivery time may come from info record or scheduling agreement, depending on your customizing settings.

Take a look on the picture below for details about the scheduling performed by MRP:

Hi Caetano,

Thank you so much for your response.

Here which is raw material procured externally and below are the lead time maintained in MRP/Purchasing views of material master.

1: Goods receipt processing time = 2 days

2: Panned delivery = 5 days

3: Purchasing processing time = 0 days

And no any other planned delivery time maintained anywhere in info. record or scheduling agreement, but still replenishment order is getting generated after 15 days or so.

Could you please let me know your inputs.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you,

Somu

Hello Somu

Did you check in transaction MD05 if there isn't any fixed replenishment proposal being rescheduled to cover this requirement? Can you please share a screenshot of MD05?

Caetano

Hello Somu,

We would like to see your MD04 screen to investigate if any other replenishment element available which is delaying replenishment proposal. This phenomenon is called rescheduling check where MRP doesn't create replenishment elements, instead it triggers rescheduling message. Please provide the screen shot of MD04 and MD05.

Best regards
