ALERT DEFINATION

HI

I am facing problem in Alert. I have define alert categery, define severity, thersholdvalue and assign severity to project type.(All setting maintain for task conformation)

But the when I conforme the Task in cproject I am not get any alert through mail .

any other setting I have to do plz help.

Hi Sunil,

you probably need to do some settings in Alert Management (Transaction: ALRTCATDEF). There you can define alert categories, the text for your alerts and also the users eg. by user role. You need to link this alert category with the severity in cProjects customizing (-> define severity).

In SE80 -> package salert_core -> Transactions -> Alrtinbox you can generate the link to te alert inbox, where you can subscripe for alert categories and define if you want your alert sent by email, SMS or FAX.

Hi Sunil,

you can generate the link in Transaction SE80. There you need to select package "SALERT_CORE, -> Transactions -> ALRTINBOX -> Right mouse button -> execute and then a html page opens with the Alert Inbox Screen.

Hi, did you specifiy the following in scot transaction:

smtp ->

Internet -> set business/obj links as HTM

Also enter the mail server and port.

Your outlook should be accepting mails from SAP. Talk to you local system administration people and get a server configured for accepting mails from SAP.

I think you should be fine.
