Hi All,

I want to know how transaction POIM (RCCLMDAT) works, I did a lot of research and couldn´t find much. I am not sure if POIM works with change pointers

My requirement is to transfer to an external system material master changes via IDocs, we have a lot of plants, but I just need to send changes made on 2 plants that’s why I thought POIM was a good option, but making some tests in quality system, I released standard costs and made other type of changes to material master in a different plant, and when executing POIM, these changes are being transmitted too.

What would be the best option to my requirement? I also evaluated BD21, but here you just specify Message type and if at BD52 I specify the fields that are relevant for me, my understanding is that system will create change pointer if any of these fields are modified regardless of the plant am I right? How to make this plant specific?

Thanks in advance,

Details on the POI interface can be found in OSS note 538945 - FAQ: POI interface, transactions and message categories which has zip file attachments with documentation , also there are further OSS notes on POI

In general you can use filters to restrict your distribution of IDocs. Google with the keywords ALE filter and you should get plenty results
