How to use the condition technique for custom applications

I know that the condition technique is used to control pricing, material determination, and output determination in SD. What if I want to use that technique to control, say, what incoterms are derived for a given set of variables?

We have a requirement to force the incoterms to DHL when certain customer attributes are present. The condition technique would be perfect for this. However, I don't believe that this is SAP std. If there is no way to reuse this concept called the "condition technique" for custom applications, I will just have to drop and make Z-tables and emulate it as best I know how.
