rfc destination types 3, T, H

Hi,

During sending idoc to xi we use rfc destination of type 3. But while in case of client proxy (r/3 side) we use rfc destination of type T. I believe in some other case it is H.

If we take idoc and proxy cases of above ......in both the cases communicaiton is directly with the IE of xi through http protocols and the port is also http port 8000. So probably we should use rfc destination of type H here. But we are using differnt rfc destination types. Could you please clarify me the reason behind ?? And also I have midded out .......in which scenario we will use rfc destination of type H ?? Could you please tell me in which case we will use connection type H ??

thanks

kumar

Hi,

XI has Idoc and http adapters on ABAP stack.

I believe Idoc communication does not use HTTP protocol but tRFC protocol as messages first come to SM58.

Thanks,

Beena.
