Project System and CDS Views

Hi I wonder if someone could help me, I'm trying to create a CDS view for a simple Fiori app to links users to projects. I'm planning on using the Fiori Elements list report with added CRUD actions via a BOPF

The issue I have is with the project system tables.

Table PROJ holds the internal project number PSPNR, which is also the key, also the project definition which is the filed the user recognises, namely PSPID.

How do I structure the CDS view/s such that I can expose the PSPID to the UI as a selectable field in the CRUD action rather than in the internal PSPNR.

I hope this makes sense.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

According to my understanding we have to use the BOPF with the CDS views to perform the CRUD operations in the Frontend UI application. So, if the user have to select any value, at that time the one line item (or one row) gets selected, else you have allowed the multiple line item selection from the CDS view.

So, it will be helpful if you can explain what you want to achieve.

    Thanks & Regards,

    • Hi and thanks for taking the time to answer.

I kinda found the answer to my question in the SAP standard CDS views for the project system.

If anyone else is interested, search the SAP library for the view C_ProjectWithVersion (and it's associations) for an idea of how to work with PS objects.
