Support Package Stack

Former Member

Hi

I want to use interactive forms in my web dynpro application and I see that one of the prerequisites is that I have support package stack 11.

How do I check what stack I have?

If I don't have the right level, how do I get the SP stack?

thanks

Anton

Hi,

Login to http://pc024788:50000/index.html -> System Information using Administrator account. Check under Software Components the patch level marked like SP17.

If u want to upgrade, go to http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks

Choose Netweaver 04 if u want to upgrade the NW04 server. Then give the target support pack and source pach. Check the appropriate check boxes. Then Download to ur basket. Then using download manager, u can download the folders to ur hard disk.

The prerequisites say that my NW Dev Studio must have SP stack 11.

Is this right?

the reason I'm asking is because I've put an interactive form UI element on my page, but when I click edit in the context menu, the adobe live cycle designer doesn't load.

Hi,

If it has been mentioned, then it is prefered to have support pack of SP 11 or higher for it to work.

Hi,

System information I mentioned gives the server version. To check the studio version, open studio. Go to Help -> About SAP Netweaver Developer Studio. It gives the version. To develop adobe forms, u need version >= SP11. This applies for both studio and application server. So download and upgrade both the developer studio and the WebAS.

Hi,

U will get the SAR files. Extract with SAPCAR.exe in the command prompt.

SAPCAR -xvf <your-SAR-file>

The files will be extracted to the same folder.

then run the setup file and install the studio.

Hope this helps.
