Hello Experts,
I am working on implementing Legal Consolidation for one of my clients, and am facing issues while setting up Cross Ownership data and Legal as well as Management Group entity structures in Ownership Manager. I would request you to please help me out with this issue.
For instance, consider that the legal structure for the company (legalentitystructure.jpg) , Legal Consolidation Reporting structure (legalconsolidationreportingstructure.jpg), and Management Reporting structure (managementreportingstructure.png) as attached.
A, B, C, D, E, F, and G being legal entities of the company. Also, all the subsidiaries in this legal structure are 100% owned
Request you to please suggest, how I should set up the Cross Ownership data, so that Inter company Eliminations get performed successfully while running consolidation for both these Entity Grouping structures.
Hi Rupali,
First thing, You need to work on 2 different category.
one for legal consolidation (which is same as that of legal entity structure)
second for management consolidation.
There are 2 ways of doing this:
1. Create a single consolidation group (let say Group A) and assign all other entities under this group. Here, you not be able to generate consolidation result for other group.
2. Create a various consolidation group (let say Group A,Group B, Group C) and assign all other entities under these group (as you have mentioned in attached image). Here, you will be able to generate consolidation result for other group.
Regarding maintaining ownership percentage, there are 2 ways of doing this.
1. Calculate and maintain indirect ownership
2. to automate the ownership percentage calculation, refer this link Ownership Manager

Rahul
