after unzipping the archive you will find a textfile ("readme.txt") which describes all necessary steps to get brgui to work...and: "<b>BrGui 6.40 requires BR*Tools 6.40 PL 11 or higher</b>" - so plz check your patch level of the brtools.

and check out sapnote 611.493

2. I read text file and downloaded j2re-1_4_1_07-windows-i586 file installed and set envorinment variable is user Variable JAVA_HOME \Java\j2re1.4.1_07 and Value JAVA_HOME=C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1_07.

But when I executing BrGui from desktop the page is displaying but the options are not displayed.

Hi Yusuf,

check note 611493.

Did you configure your HP-UX box for rsh/ssh access from your Windows box?

Hi Markus,

What is HP-UX Box ? I dont know how to configure HP-UX box ?

In BrGui Properties :

brgui.remote-0=DEV (rsh bakersdv -l oradev - /sapmnt/DEV/exe/brtools)

In BrGui :

/j2sdk1.4.2_14/bin/java -classpath lib/sap.comtcblbrguiimpl.jar com.sap.gui.brgui.BrGui

The above I have added in BrGui Properties file and BrGui File. What else I have to do ?

After executing BrGui Icon from DeskTop the page is opening but options are not displayed.

Even we can access to Development Server through Putty and telnet.

Using through Window XP

Pl. help me.

You wrote, that your systems runs on HP-UX, no?

You need to enable "rshd" on HP-UX to be able to access that system remotely.

Try to execute manually:

- Start - execute - cmd.exe

- enter "rsh bakersdv -l oradev /sapmnt/DEV/exe/brtools"

Does this work?

Hi Markus,

I executed through Conmmand Line :

rsh bakersdv -l oradev /sapmnt/DEV/exe/brtools

Giving Error : bakersdv: Unknown Host

rsh: can't establish connection

so - the name of you HP-UX system is not "bakersdv"? If not you need to configure that.

Enter there the name of you system and adapt the file paths of the brtools (if the name of your instance is not DEV).

version = U (unlimited-user license)

machine = ia64

idnumber = 2373161533

If your Windows system does not "know" the name, you need to either add it into your local hosts file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) or use a DNS server for name resolving purposes.

Hi Markus,

I have added hotname bakersdv hostname in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts, but giving error :

bakersdv: remshd: Login incorrect.

rsh: can't establish connection

Check with the following command:

rsh bakersdv -l <sidadm> ls -l /sapmnt/<SID>/exe/brtools

If that does not work you need to add your machine IP in the .rhosts file of user <sidadm> on the HP-UX machine. Best is to contact your operator to do this if you don't know how to configure that.
