User locked due to too many failed attempts

Hi,

I received a BYD test tenant for a customer today. For some reasons, an initial ID is locked due to too many failed attempts for password. Since an initial ID is locked, there is no user who has lock or unlock the user in the system.

In this case, what can we do to unlock the initial ID? I clicked "Forget your password?" button in the login screen, but I did not receive any emails to reset the password.

Cloud you please share your tips on this issue?

Best regards,

Junghwan Park

Hi Junghwan,

I would recommend that you call the SAP Support Hotline and talk with them about the issue. Or contact your partner advocate and he/she can help get you in touch with someone who can help get your initial user unlocked.

Best regards,

Hi Brad,

This incident has been solved by SAP Support. This incident took a week because the customer did not receive a notification email to reset the password. SAP Hosting team worked on this incident. After SAP Support fixed this incident. a customer was able to receive the email to reset the password.

Thank you,

Hello Jung,

Forgot Password link from the login page will not work for the Initial User ID, you have to follow the below steps.

If you have S-user ID you can create incident from the SAP One Support Launchpad for the same BYD tenant to the component AP-LM-AM-INC so that we can assist you further on this OR call our CIC team so that they can create incident on behalf of you.

Please also mention/provide the tenant ID and URL in which you have faced issue.

Further you can refer the SAP Business ByDesign Support Guide for Key Users and End Users which has the details on what actions needs to be taken when you are not able to access the tenant with your Initial User ID.
