Hello guys.

I have one production server with Central Instance (example XAPHOST) and DB Instance (example XDBHOST) on Windows 2008 Server R2 / Oracle 11g.

The scheduled for DB13 not working for any task of database.

When i tried run task for example Check Database the log show error:

Job started Step 001 started (program RSDBAJOB, variant &0000000000105, user ID SAPUSER)

Execute logical command BRCONNECT On host XDBHOST Parameters: -jid CHECK20170703132155 -u / -c -f check

Can't exec external program (No such file or directory)

WaitForSingleObject failedwith %d (No such deviceor address)

SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE failed for BRCONNECT - Reason: unknown

Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE

I read the notes 1914589, 980266, 583759, 446172.

- The RFC is working fine SAPXPG_DBDEST_<XDBHOST>

- The DB13 - Goto - backend configuration - Oracle Settings : XDBHOST

- The SAP Gateway is running where Database is running and configured - XDBHOST

- The sapxpg.exe file exists on XDBHOST in the kernel directory for SAP Gateway Instance

I do not know what else to check.

Hi Desirée,

Check on SM37 Job cancellation, and which is involved work process/application server (SM37, select Job, Job details).
Afterwards, on dev_w* trace file, check if more information is provided. Attach trace file to this thread if necesary.
SystemLog (transaction SM21) may provide further information about this error.

Hi,

Did you check work process trace file and SM21 entries?
Which error is shown there?

Is 'sapxpg' available and corerctly working?
You could also try to write complete path of 'sapxpg' on RFC settings.
