regarding opening stock calculation

i am developing a report to show opening stock just like MB5B ,using mard ,mseg,mkpf for calculation but my report output is not matching with MB5B,cud u plz let me know what will b the exact logic sud i apply,,if possible send me the codes..thnx in advance.....

hi,

check movement type 641 & 642.

first calculate without 641 & 642 mov. type.

& second add qty for 642 with shkzg = 'S' & 641 with shkzg = 'H'.

figure will tally with mb5b.

Hi

Hope you are really looking for a Stock ledger report. Instead of checking only in MB5B make a check in MC.9 also. Here Give the both dates same date (both date-low and date-high same ) and see the opening date of that day and see whether its matching with your reports opening date...If it's not matching check with your functional also whether u r taking care of all the movement types (bwart column in mseg ). Then you should check seperately whether your purchase and consumption (consumption = reverse) are producing the sameresults or what.. For this u can use the transaction MB51. Do all this checkings properly. Hope this will helps you.. If still its incorrecr revert back with your code.

I am running into the exact same problem on my project and I am curious to know what solution you used.

We also noticed that our beginning inventory was not matching with MB5B due to movement type 641.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
