Disconnecting from the BW server

Hi All,

When I am trying to open any query in the BW development server either in RRMX or query designer it is throwing the error

"Disconnecting from the BW server" and then

Next step

"The BW server we are connected to cannot refresh the query ".

After that we are disconnected from the system and have to logon again.

What can be the issue ?

Would it be a Basis issue or something releated with BW.

This can be due to many reasons such as:

1. If you have any variable for which the system could not derive a valid value

2. If you have any value in the characteristic for which there is an invalid value ( 1 is different from 2).

You need to check the query definition. Execute RSRV ( for data consistency; better run for combined tests) and also RSRT.

The problem was on the Basis side.

They were able to solve it easily.

We run into this problem occasionally and haven't been able to find a solution. How did your basis team resolve the issue?

May be because of an error in the query as well. Try running the query in RSRT and see if there is any error message.
