allowing paratial deliveries

Hi all,

am creating a sale order with 10 items and want to deliver only 5 items, but my system is not allowing me to deliver 5 items. Again when i change the qty to 10 , the system is allowing me to do delivery.

i have checked in the customer master shipping tab and cld see partial delivery allowed. so y is this happening?

plz advise.
