Change marketting Attributes when in use in BP

Hi All,

We have created a marketting attributes for "credit cards". The values available for selection are as follows.

1. SBI

2. HSBC

3. StanChart

4. HDFC

This marketting attributes is in use for BP. Now, there is a requirement to add some more entry in this drop down like

1. UTI

2. ICICI

When the marketting attribute is under use in BP, the change to add new entry is not allowed. The message appears "The values currently maintained lead to inconsistencies in the database"

Diagnosis

You may not delete values that are already assigned to a business partner. If you want to assign pre-defined values to an attribute that formerly had freely-definable text, you must include all values that have already been assigned to a business partner. Otherwise the values cannot be saved or you have to delete the values for this attribute from the business partners.

Request to let me know how to manage change of marketing attributes if it is already in use in BP.
