What is WebDynpro?

Generic Definition : WebDynpro is a great modeling environment which stores the user-interface details in the form of metadata. We can write less code and fix bugs in a shorter time with lesser effort. It increases a programmer's productivity by manifolds.

Technical Definition : WebDynpro is a client-independent programming model used for developing sophisticated user interfaces for web based business applications

What is a Web Dynpro Application?

A Web Dynpro application is an application that can be called from the user interface. As an independent program unit it connects a URL that can be accessed by the user with a window in the Web Dynpro component.

What is a Web Dynpro Component?

The component is the central, reusable unit of the application project. You can create any number of views in a component and arrange them in any number of windows.

What are Web Dynpro Controllers?

Web Dynpro controllers come in two distinct varieties: those with a visual interface, and those without.

• Controllers that have a visual interface are referred to as "view controllers".

• Controllers that have no visual interface are referred to as "custom controllers".

• Webdynpro is SAP Programming model to develope web Based Application.

• EP is a FrontEnd tool for Netweaver to display integrated information.

• The information displayed in EP may be from R/3, non R/3, Database,WEb Applicatins.

• To Display such information in EP we are using some development tools.

• In Short Webdynpro is an Enterprise Portal development tool which can fetch

R/3 data,non R/3 data.

• You will be integrate your webdynpro application in EP by creating SAP Webdynpro iView.

• Of Course thr are lot of EP development Tools are available such asWebdynpro Java, Web Dynpro ABAP,Visual Composer,PDK. etc.

• Using Model Concept in webdynpro you can fetch the data from

R/3.

• Webdynpro Java needs Basic Java Knowledge and ABAP needs Basic ABAP.
