Connection test failing while doing user mapping between Portal to R3.

I have one problem related to connection and user mapping from portal to R3 system. I have EP 7.0, CRM 5.0 and R3 4.6C. When I did the user mapping and connection test from EP 7.0 to CRM 5.0, it worked successfully without any problems. I configured JCo in visual admin and gave the registered program id for RFC connection in CRM backend system.

But when I tried to do connection test for R3 4.6C to EP 7.0, the system alias is getting displayed in user mapping, but connection test is failing. It is giving error "Connection failed. Retrevial of default alias successful, make sure user mapping is correct". Since R3 4.6C does not have java stack, so there is no Jco and RFC (registered program id) to be provided.

Can anyone guide me how to do user mapping between R3 4.6C to EP 7.0. Points to be rewarded for any kind of help. Thanks a ton in advance.

Hi Abdul ,

Have you set the user mapping for the USer through which you are accessing the backend system.Do one thing navigate to useradmin --->identity mana( if >SP7).

Find the user and check wether he has the correct credentials to access the backend system.

Hi Abdul,

Have you changed the SAP logon ticket to UIDPW in the user management property list of R3 system. and also check the permission of user on that system.
