Min Max replenishement

Hello all,

I carried out a Min Max replenishment by entering the minimum, maximum, replenishment quantity in the WM-2 view of the material master record. I created storage bins manually for the storage type 100. The stroage type 100 is a Production supply area storage type. I entered one of the bin that was created manually in the WM-2 view. So this populated the replenishment quantity, when the total stock reached below the minimum quantity and i was able to carry out the min-max replenishment.

My question is whether i have to create any control cycles, production bins for carrying out the min max replenishment or is it ok if i carry out the min max replenishment based on the above said process.

And also do these production bins and control cycles needed only for replenishment based on process/production order and not for the min max replenishment?
