Hello pros,
In Scope project, I selected the multiple territories option. This way, I can add several territories to an account.
However, when i create an Opportunity from an Account containing more than 1 Territory, the opportunity does not contain any Territory.
Here are my questions :
1) Can opportunity contains more than 1 territory ?
2) If yes, can opportunity get automatically territories from the associated account ?
Thanks a lot,
Regards,
Michael
Hi Michael,
1. I do not think that you can assign multiple territories to Opportunities.
2. Territory determination from Accounts is possible in Opportunities. You need to enable the scoping question below
Sales --> territory management --> Do you want to determine the transaction’s territory based on the document owner as well as the account?
If the Account is assigned to only one territory then that territory is automatically determined in the opportunity after selecting the Account. If the Account is assigned to multiple territories then you get a warning message to select the territory since multiple territories are determined from the Account. In this case, user has to select the correct territory manually.
