SAP BI Self Service Reporting

Hi All,

Have you implemented SAP BI Self-service reporting? What did it mean in your project's context?

Also, what is the best way to implement self service reporting for the business users?

With S/4HANA (on-premise 1610), BW/4HANA and SAP BI Suite, what is the best way to implement self-service reporting?

Thanks,

Bijesh

Some keys things to keep in-mind when implementing a self serve strategy:

    • You need to create some Corporate documents (WebI, Crystal, or AO) as starting points. The user acceptance is much better with some sort of starting point.
    • Need departmental champions that are subject matter experts and have been training on the key BI tools, they will be your first line of support for the users community
    • Make sure your SAP BI Platform server has been sized properly to handle the self serve community of users
    • Web Intelligence is an excellent user friendly tool to use against SAP BI
    • Any reason why you are NOT using the Fiori self serve interface with 100's of canned reports provided by S4
    • Using Analysis for MS Office may have some value against S4 otherwise the Fiori interface is still the best for S4.

    Regards,

Use SAP Business Intelligence platform and allow users to create reports they need.
