SAP EM to Web Portal Integration

Hi Experts,

Can you please provide your inputs/logic how to send certain events from SAP EM to External web portal (non SAP system) via Ruleset. do we have any standard ruleset activity functions available to send event from SAP EM to non SAP Web portal system or any other approach that would greatly help.

Hi Sudhan,

1) This is done with your normal TM-EM setup. You don't need to configure something else here.

2) Yes you should use the standard activity. Use the rule sets from the ODT* scenarios as template how to configure your rule set.

I have one doubt still on point #1.

Question 1 : I have just tried to post some carrier events via collaboration portal for freight order document (Parcel), but those events are getting posted only if I have relevant event type configuration in TM, for example if I post delay event for freight order document via collaboration portal through execution tab then this event will be updated in Freight order EH in EM only if I have the event type relevance and extraction config in TM system for TOR Business process type, otherwise the event wouldn't get posted.

Please let me know if my understanding above is correct or not?

Question 2 - If I configure the bunch of 214 events to populate in dropdown in the execute tab of Freight order document on click of insert event then once the event is selected from dropdown then on click of report event button, would that 214 event will get updated automatically in Freight order EH in EM system without event type extraction configuration in TM system. please get back to me.

Question 3- how the list of events populate in the dropdown in the execution tab on click of Insert event button, is it some predefined configuration in TM or it will populate the events based on event type configuration like how many number of events you configure in event type configuration then those events only will populate in the dropdown . sorry to task basic question as I am new to TM to EM integration even though I worked in EM. Thank you so much for your help.

Can you please check and get back to me on the below two questions.

1. We have freight order document created in TM and the relevant EH document created in EM for Freight order. If carrier uses TM collaboration portal for reporting 214 events for freight order in TM then in this case all the 214 events will be automatically updated in EM against Freight order EH document as per the SAP standard TM to EM application interface (or) we need to have separate event type extraction logic in TM system to send every 214 events in EM against Freight order EH , that carrier reported via TM collaboration portal.

Please get back to me on the same.

2. I hope if carrier reported 214 events in EM system for freight order document then we can use the standard rule set activity, TM_MAINTAIN_EXEC_INF, to send the 214 events from EM system to TM system to update at freight order document in TM, when the 214 event is updated in freight order EH in EM. Please let me know if you have any other solution to update 214 events automatically in TM when carrier reported 214 events in EM system against Freight order document.
