Schedule Lines

HI SAPGurus,

Any one explain about <b>Schedule Lines</b> in SAP PP, what is the significance of this and where do we need it?

Hi,

There is not much significance for shedule lines in PP , basically they are in Purchase and Sales , where the total quantity for a Purchase order or sales order are received in partial quantities periodically , while running MRP , in the control parameters for mrp run you can select wheather schedule lines should be generated or not based on the schedule lines generated you will receive the raw materials required for production , this is the only relavence for schedule lines in pp .

the significance of schedule lines is that we dont want to go through the process of purchase requision ,purchase order creation cycles everyday when we know that we are going to purchase from a vendor regurlarly.there are two types of schedule aggrements.one is manual other is automatic scheduleing aggrements.let us discuss automatic scheduleing aggrement.prerequisite for this is set jit schedule indicator to (1-automatically) in mrp2.create schedule aggrement in me31l with aggrement type :LP,also vendor,pur org/group .in the next screen enter validity date ,mat name ,target qty and net price.note down schedule aggrement no.next in ME38 MAINTAIN schedule aggrement. next maintain source list in me01 in this give schedule aggrement no. generated in me31L. AND ALSO IN MRP TAB 2-MEANING MRP RELAVENT TO SCHEDULE AGGREMENT AND save.do the following process in sequence md61,md03,md04.you will find the schedule lines created at the desired dates.you can only do migo only when the specified dates are reached and not before as in pirs.

Hi,

Basically there are two types of scheduling agreement...Sales and purchase.

Sales scheduling agreement can be mainatined for the finished assmblies from VA31 transaction and purchasing for the procurement parts from ME31 transactions. Normally this is used for the parts which are having very short time for delivery and required time to time (frequent) example in automotive industries.

Once you maintain this along with other master data like vendor master, info record and source list and run the MRP with indicator :create schedule lines then schedule lines will be created for both inhouse and externally procured materials.

Hi

A particular line in a requirements plan containing exactly one requirement quantity and one requirement date. The quantity obtained by adding together all the schedule line quantities results in the requirements plan.

One schedule line corresponds to one planned independent requirement.

Hi ,

Schedule lines are created against schedule agreements.

say if you have a material which is procured from subcontract. If you want the delivery in particular days with schedule you can maintain schedule agreeement.

In source list you will maintain vendor ,schedule agreeement with validity dates and which agreement is relevant for mrp. if you maintain 2 against the sch agreemetn mrp will generate schedule line which you can see in md04. also this delivery schedules are updated in scheduling agreement (t cod ME33)

When running mrp in initial screen delivery schedules--you have to maintain 3 create schedule line
