[PE4AD] HANA MDC database in production landscape

Former Member

Hello experts,

We have set up the production landscape of SCP in our company and we need to kickstart the system. When I go to Databases & Schemas to create the MDC database, the option doesn't appear for me in the select box. I only get 'HANA <shared>' as opposed to the trial landscape where I find 'HANA MDC <trial>'. My question is A) why am I not seeing the MDC option? Does it have to be acquired separately? B) sticking with the 'HANA <shared>' option, can I still have access to the database management and its tools? Like in the MDC with the Web-based Development Workbench, creating DB users, assigning Roles, manipulating tables and all those useful settings? I am posting below images comparing our production landscape with the trial I used for prototyping.

Hi Felipe,

Your account do not have an instance of MDC deployed. Please contact your sales team.

Please close this message if you do not need anymore support.

Thanks,

Jin

Hi Jin,

My name is Adriano and I'm from Felipe's team. Our build partnership agreement does not have this service. We understand that we will have to create the database through the java language. My question is: is there a template to follow for these cases? Can you help us?

Tks.

Hi Adriano,

MDC have to be provisioned by our operation team. There is no template for you to create a DB instance.

Sorry,

Jin
