Maintain sidebar collapse setting

Hi,

There was a really cool feature implemented <a href="/people/community.user/blog/2007/01/15/are-you-watching">not too long ago</a> to collapse the SDN sidebar for more screen area.

Sadly I hardly use it because if you change forums, refresh page or sneeze then it expands again. Could this be made persistent throughout a browser session?

(Yes I realize this was mentioned in the previous thread. But that's closed and I think a session setting would be more appropriate than a user logon setting).
