XI server connectivity to R/3

Hello,

I am facing problems while connecting my Xi server to R/3 server using ABAP server proxies. I tried to create a RFC destination of type H with path <b>prefix /sap/xi/engine?type=entry</b> as well as <b>/sap/xi/engine?type=receiver</b>. Both are giving me HTTP Response Code 500

Status Text : Business Server Page (BSP) Error

The response body contained the text

Business Server Page (BSP) Error
URL+does+not+specify+a+complete+domain+(10%2e252%2e1%2e206+instead+of+10%2e252%2e1%2e206%2e%3cdomain%3e%2e%3cext%3e)

So I tried to use the host name instead of IP address in target Host field, this gives me

HTTP Response Code 404

The Response bpdy contains the text

Business Server Page (BSP) Error
BSP+Exception%3a+the+Application+Name+xi+in+URL+%2fsap%2fxi%2fengine%3ftype%3dentry+is+invalid%2e

P.S: Client proxies work fine with R/3 system. But in server proxies, the same error msg is displayed in SXMB_MONI.
