Master data loading of 0PERSON

Dear Gurus,

Question: Could anybody provide some pointers to the possible reasons that the load process from BW system is not being completed despite RSA3 extraction in the source system being completed in a reasonable time?

I am trying to load master data 0PERSON in the Quality System.

The load terminates in the source system in the range of 10 to 12 hours when the source system is shut-down for daily backup.

It is interesting that in RSA3 the extraction is completed with a setting of 1000 records and 100 calls in 45 minutes.

There are approximately 70,000 records. Each record can have a maximum length of 135 characters (non-unicode).

The control parameters settings in the source system are presently Max (KB): 30,000, Nos. of lines: 200,000, Frequency: 10, Max processes: 10.

I am presently loading by breaking down the load with 5000 persons. There are 6 loads and they take from 10 minutes to 9 hours to complete.

Thanks and regards

Mathew.

Hi,

0PERSON is a Time Dependent master Data,Check the Update Tab of your Info Package which is using for the loading.

Give Start Date as 01/01/1000 and End Date as 12/31/9999.

Then Schedule the Infopackage.

Hi

Check the timeout time in the scheduler in the header menu of the infopackage

Here increase the timeout time in days instead hours

Hi ,

It could be because of load on the source system/ BW system , definitely you can try following suggestion.

In the info package ->Processing tab page -> Select option : PSA and subsequently to data target .

Hope that helps.

Ganesh,

My understanding of the timeout setting is that the status light wil turn red if the time is exceeded since receipt of the last idoc. It will not abort the loading process. Correct me if I am wrong.

Mr. Kapadia,

That is how it is.

Hi Mathew,

After scheduling info package also check in the SAP R/3 side if particular job is executing in background for long time ( Tcode SM50)

Sometimes what happens is due to lots of jobs scheduled in the background or overloaded sap r/3 system this BI* bi loads jobs gets stuck and had to start manually through SM37.

Hope that helps.
