Hits Count on the homepage

hi experts,

i want to put hits counts(total visitors and daily visitors);just like a website; on the homepage of the portal.

can you guide me please on how to do it?

Can have hitcount key in a property file(you can decide

You can create a new abstract portal component . Inside the docontent()

can increment the hitcount property value.

create iview for the abstract portal component. add the iview to the home page .

So whenever the homepage is called the hitcount abstract portal component also called.

i want to display the compnent on the logon page.i.e. before user can login. i am sure that i can show the count after login, but i need it before login.

Sujay,

after you create the pORTAL activity report iView, open the iView for editing and then you can see the various optins there select Number of user logged on.

(This by default would be selected.

)

Just plce the iview on a page and see the result.

Dear Steelman,

as i have mentioned, i want it to display on the logon page.....

portal activity iview cant be used in this case. and btw, portal activity iview dont actually give the total no of hits to the portal....

the name of the iView is portal activity report iView

goto content admin

new iView

from template

there you have many options

select yours
